This book is a representation of how far we, the writers, have come since starting Ms. Jackson's creative writing class in the fall. We are so excited to be able to share it with you. This collection of stories was created as our final project and it quickly developed into a passion project for those of us involved. The Sins Within developed from a series of prompts given by Ms. Jackson on the Seven Deadly Sins. Throughout the class, we were given a total of three of the seven sins to write; lust, pride, and sloth. After given the definition, authors were told to write a short story based off of the sin. Despite the common themes, each piece is unique in their own ways. This book is composed of three different genres. Emma Crumling, MaKaila Lake, Cienna Hammond, and Lizzy Sterner have all written fantasy, Beck Bavis has written fan fiction, and Sierra Taylor has written young adult fiction. Aside from the four editors, three of our fellow classmates offered their writing up as sacrifices so we may bring this book to you. Every step of the process, from finding our writers to creating the cover, was done with love for the craft of writing and the desire to improve. We wanted to create something we could all be proud of. Something we could share with our peers. Maybe, just maybe, these stories will be the beginning for great authors in the future. These, dear readers, are our stories.

A Random Series Made Out Of Sheer Boredom From 1 Guy Who Even He Himself Does Not Know Why He Made This While Also Having No Writing Knowledge Whatsoever But Did So For His Own Leisure Actual Story Desc: "Follow The Story Of A Young Boy On His Own Journey Set In A Fantasy World With Some Modern Aspects And If You Ask What Will Lie Ahead? Only Fate Can Tell"

A young teen girl, named Angie Brown, lives in Salem, Massachusettes-a village that is on edge with the recent rumors of witchcraft. With her two brothers to care for, she always has something to do. It isn't until one day when her perfectly normal life becomes something not-so-normal. She finds herself being lured the woods by a voice frightening, yet so endearing. But when she meets the mysterious stranger, she realizes that her life will never be normal again. A story of love and chaos. What does it take for Angie and this stranger to become something more? And how will her village react to her recent witch-like behavior?

This is a two-chapter preview of this novella. It is far in the future, the time of humans has past and nature has begun to reclaim the earth. Buildings have started to sink back into the soil, and trees reach their roots far beyond the bounds of their sidewalk boxes. Nature has long been divided into isolated islands between cities of metal and rock, but now it is becoming one again.  The story takes place in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, which remained relatively untouched to the end of human rein. The animals here are aware of the human lands, but do not venture into them. Willow is an adventurous, orphaned, Red Fox with an insatiable fascination with the world around her. She spends her days exploring the hills and glens surrounding her old willow tree home. She brings back with her artifacts of her travels: stones, feathers, leaves, flowers. Her best friend is Poppy the house mouse, who is exactly that, a homebody. Poppy follows Willow on her adventures, but does so with trepidation. As winter nears, Poppy spends her time doing "chores" for her mother, which consists mostly of collecting seeds and packing them away. Therefore, Willow spends most of Fall exploring on her own. It is during these times that the fox begins to hear her name, softly floating on the wind. At first she thinks she is imagining it; she imagines that she is speaking with her mother quite often. However, as the days grow shorter, and the wind grows colder and stronger, her name becomes louder. On the stormiest days it is as if her name is howling through the branches of her tree home. When Willow begins to tell Poppy that she hears the wind speaking, Poppy dissuades her from pursuing her curiosity.

What are demons? And who said they were tangible? The worst kind come from within. There will always be a monster in the mirror. And no matter where you go it will remain.

Stark witnesses his wife and child brutally murdered in front of him. The man who did it left him with a knife buried in his chest and slowly bleeding out. Years later, after a long recovery Stark returns with only one goal. Kill the man responsible. And he will see it through, despite a reluctant team, or beyond. He will go on. To the end.

This anthology was created by a few dedicated members of Ms. Jackson's creative writing class. It was a part of our final project, and we wanted to create something that we could all feel proud of and be able to share our hard work with others.
