Maiubos din 'yong sakit. Pero mali pala ako. Because the real kind of pain doesn't scream. It sits beside you in silence, suffocating you until you get used to the heavy taste of your own blood swallowing back every word you wished you had the courage to say.
Nakatayo ako sa gitna ng hallway ng Grand Ballroom ng Manila Hotel, nakatitig sa dalawang taong nakatayo sa ilalim ng engkantadong chandelier.
Ang ganda niya.
She was wearing a deep emerald green velvet gown that hugged her frame perfectly, her hair styled in soft waves falling over one shoulder. She looked like royalty. She looked unreachable.
And right beside her was a man in a tailored tuxedo-tall, clean-cut, smiling comfortably as he held her waist.
