I was no professional swimmer but I hoped the swimming lessons that dad gave me before he left me to the cruel world would come to use now. I struggled to keep my head above water but the entrance of salty water in my mouth, nose, and eyes wasn't helping much. As I was about to give up I heard panicked noises of fishermen. Their panicked chattering sounded like cheers of encouragement to me. I was half dead but all I could be relieved about was I finally got help.
