He had just a little bit of faith after they discovered she was never found after the fire, which lead him to believe that she had somehow made it out alive. But, after searching for his baby sister for 5 years he gave up. He decided whether she made it out alive or not she was for sure dead. That was until he saw ambulances pulling into Beacon Hills Reserve and lifting her onto a stretcher. At that moment he decided to devote his whole life to protecting her. Even if he died from it.
