Nothing's the same after a new diamond takes up the position of the original Pink Diamond (This is an au of an au where my gemsona is a pink diamond created from Pink Diamond's (fake) shards)

This is an AU where Peridot did not escape in the escape pod and was also in the ship crash and saw Lapis when she tried to protect the others and dove in to keep her from putting herself through that. They ended up fusing but that also means they're now refugees in hiding. This au was originally made in my oneshots book but thought the stories were too good to just stand alone so I'm dedicating a whole book to them. Enjoy!

The Crystal Gems are a team of magical beings who are the self-appointed guardians of the universe. Half-human, half-Gem hero Steven is the "little brother" of the group, and though he gradually learns how to use the powers that come from his forehead gem, he's constantly living in the shadow of his mother and leader of the Gem Rebellion, Pearl. By living in the barn with lapis, she has grown to her not knowing if lapis felt that way aswell. She finds herself in the Beta Kindergarden face to face with jasper, accompanied with Steven, Amethyst and eventually Smokey Quartz. She strayed a bit too close to jasper. (I do NOT own steven universe) (No duhh)

Peridot is greatly ill due to a brain tumor, but thanks to Nurse Rose and Steven she still has hope for survival. Lapis on the other hand doesn't, Lapis just wants to draw for the rest of her life and never leave home and her cute corgi Pumpkin (sounds like heaven right?) When both find each other they both find that maybe there's time?
