In this SU AU, Spinel is a Mermaid that's been captured and is about to be put on display until Steven sets her free. Determined to get Spinel back home, Steven is now on the run from the law and ends up taking several detours along the way as he and Spinel dig deeper into the Humans reason for capturing the Mermaids.

This is an AU where Peridot did not escape in the escape pod and was also in the ship crash and saw Lapis when she tried to protect the others and dove in to keep her from putting herself through that. They ended up fusing but that also means they're now refugees in hiding. This au was originally made in my oneshots book but thought the stories were too good to just stand alone so I'm dedicating a whole book to them. Enjoy!

After the events of Mr Universe, Greg takes Steven's words at heart. Since his son already knows the basics of every subject, thanks to Pearl, he decides to send him to school. Just for the year, to get a taste of education. He's planning on making it a surprise. He signs Steven up to the closest school near Beach city. Kram school. Okay so I really wanted to write a story like this so I did it! This book is going to mainly focus on connverse so if you dislike the ship don't read! I'm not planning it being super long. Maybe 10 to 20 chapters. Depends. Clarifications: Steven is 16, Connie is 15. And please no comments saying "but she's 14!" She's not, she's a year younger than Steven and even though we don't have an official date for her birthday, she was born in the months of either September, October, November or December. It was stated she was 12 ¾ when Steven turned 14 therefore she is year younger than him. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Connie is in the same grade (11th) as Steven due to her skipping a grade. There might be some language depending on the situation. I want to draw the cover so please bare with me on that. My schedule is pretty tight right now. I'll try to find some time to write the chapters. I won't have a regular schedule. No requests unless I ask please.
