Anna Novak is your ordinary shy, slightly jumpy girl with a not-so-ordinary past. The only problem is that she is unaware of this past and when it catches up to her, her whole life is turned upside-down. Anna discovers that she is the daughter of an angel and a human and because of this, Anna has extraordinary powers that some people would tear the world in two for. When Anna is captured by creatures called “Leviathens”, she is tortured for information on the whereabouts of her father. Will all the horrors Anna is put through be what finally breaks this tiny, shy, innocent girl?
