Two women meet in an abandoned church. Their love is forbidden, but once a year temptation takes over. This is a short story about flowers, secrets and old gods. And there is no happy ending. This story was originally written in Swedish and I've done my best to translate it. It was first created for a valentine's day competition. I wanted to take the format and make something a little different, mature but mostly just sad. So be aware of that.

Caleb was just a normal guy waiting in a restaurant for his wife to show for their dinner together. As time passed, call after call, receiving no answer, she finally called him back. Turns out it wasn't her, but someone else with crippling news... Caleb's wife Marie had died in a car accident... In the following days and weeks from the tragedy Caleb is left with picking up the pieces of himself. Along the way of that seemingly impossible feat, he learns that life with Marie was not all he had been lead to believe it was... Even more so, eerie things begin occurring around him, reality becomes twisted, all pointing to the very real signs that his newly deceased wife Marie, may still somehow be around... Soon Caleb is forced together with people from Marie's life to figure out why that is, and what they can do about it, if they can do anything at all... Secrets seemed to be Marie's strong suit, as well as those around her... Follow Caleb and his journey from normal married guy, to the guy now forced into a world where, what is supposed to be dead, sometimes just won't stay that way... Is everything really just black and white? Do you really know the love of your life? What do you trust, your head, your heart, or your eyes? Is death really the end? Or is it just the beginning? This story contains strong language, and some mild sexual scenes. Nothing that you wouldn't encounter, let's say on a nice summer day, in a busy city. Or any other day, in an ordinary life.
