When a person wears a masks, they hide who they truly are. They deceive. They plot against. They use the weak to their own advantages. When the government promotes something, they don't show their true colors to the people. They deceive. They plot against. They use the weak to their own advantages. Ian Harrold's inherently strong sense of Justice naturally drives him to be a skeptic of the government who claims to be a safe haven for all oppressed subspecies and humans alike. A horrible discovery soon leads him to fight against not only the government, but against those he love. Will his trait of justice be too strong and hurt the ones who remain loyal to him? When a mysterious girl crashes down on the pube (pronounced pub), everyone is at a loss of what origin she is. Wilbur takes her in, sheltering and feeding her while they test what she can do. But when he comes home to a sleeping dragon, they are forced to consider that she is more dangerous than they thought. , Artemis is a normal Palefire, a subspecies of human with special features correlating to their spirit animals that lives on planet Taril. Dragon spirit animals are especially rare, and banned because of their power capacity and the fact that the dragon spirit animal's special ability, other than turning into the spirit animal like all the others, is having another voice in the head. But when Artemis sneezes a bolt of fire in the middle of a school hall, she is banished to the blocky world below. Now, she has to survive in a world of creepers, skeletons, zombies, and super humans.

"In no way am I jealous─just territorial. Because when you're jealous, you want something that's not yours. But when you're territorial, you just want to protect what's yours." To what lengths would you go to erase your deepest, most darkest memories? What were they; mistakes made in class? In love? In life? For war orphan Kalvin Kent, the answer has always been painfully clear; no length is too far. Being one of the many children forced into a war that wasn't his to lose, Kalvin longs to erase everything about his childhood, from start to finish. The catch─Kalvin must aide the military once more in the extermination of the Sparrows, highly-evolved humanoid beings which are natives to the luscious world of Ephemeral, the only planet capable of sustaining acceptable living conditions for humans. But when things take a turn for the worst, Kalvin is forced to decide which matters most; the loss of his painful memories, or the survival of an innocent species.
