Suffocation Stories

This story is about Lyra, a tough teen dealing with past trauma and a complicated family tree. She's caught in a love triangle with her childhood friend, Rayan, and the arrogant newcomer, Renzo. Unravelling secrets, hidden affairs, and a mysterious disappearance, the characters navigate betrayal, hidden desires, and their own personal struggles as they try to find their place in the world.

Relying on possibility, slumber, and the unknown sweet demise of death. This book is a collection of poems that are unrelated but as a whole struggle to portray the meaning of the title. Through my distorted vision, a lot of things might seem disjointed and lines might slowly start to slip into one another. Language had abandoned me and my name doesn't seem to fit in the roaring volume of speech. Each line is written with the broken crown I left with. I cannot write an end to this story that might be as fruitful as the beginning, nostalgia makes me close my eyes. Closed eyes cause sleep. And when I fall asleep.... We were laying still on my rug facing my dim lighted tect. Little did I know that his pessimistic energy was on to something chaotic. I saw the agony in his eyes. His clear passive aggressive voice said it all. He was up to something. Shawn was hiding something from me. His heart palpitated more than it normally would. His sweat kept on dripping like a loose faucet. His veins were a visible lime. His thighs were shaking. I let it go because it was not worth arguing over just to ruin the moment. I just closed my eyes and everything had felt like it happened within a second like a jab.

When life throws you lemons, we're told to make lemonade. Life had thrown a lot more than lemons at me. I had been lied to and deceived into believing in a reality that didn't exist. Who says that one person can suffer hundreds of battle scars, but another can walk away freely and unharmed? Life's scares us into the belief that no matter what we do, we will always be hurt. It's partially true, but that doesn't mean that we must spend our days neglecting a world that presents us with many opportunities. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade.
