(Based off the film Suite Francaise) The invasion of France is a success. France is trapped in the village his vacation home is located in, Belgium, a fugitive country lives with him, and the aloof Germany is quartered with them. Germany is France's enemy, and his troops have made his people miserable. If only blaming Germany for everything were that simple. Living with the enemy and learning about his enemy each and everyday makes France rethink his thoughts on Germany as a person and as a culture. It also makes him rethink his feelings on Germany. It is indeed a problem when one must ask themselves "who needs friends when I have enemies like you?", and you fall deep for that very enemy.

Imagine being stuck to some basic rules of how to live your life; want standards and morals you are expected to have. In 1940 the Germans invaded France; expanding regiments to small towns of France, to "Keep them in order of the German regime." In a small town called Bussy, your business is everyone else's before it is your own. When the Germans get to the town, all trials are being faced. It tests the loyalty of the small village. Some despise the Germans, yet they are not all that bad. Join Amelia as she travels through a million emotions; finding out that all Germans are not that bad - one particularly named Bruno. Alongside her friends, she helps Maria try and get back her German husband who had been casted out of France. Facing persecution for her beliefs, she fights for the rights of all French Germans. While trying to locate Marias husband, she bumps into familiar people along the way and ends up rekindling her relationship with a certain person - who she never thought she would see again.
