Zoe, rebellious teen, city girl, dealing with grief is forced to attend a horse ranch this summer since her mum passed away and her dad is always abroad for work. Reluctantly, she starts to spend time with the horses and meets the cute cowboy Hugo who helps her find her feet. Will her crush turn into something? Together, Hugo and Zoe have to save the Ranch in a fire and raise funds for repairs so it can stay in the family. Otherwise, Zoe would have to spend the summer sleeping on her grandads sofa in a boring town away from anyone her age. Once believing herself to be a city girl who thinks horses are smelly and scary, she finds herself rescuing a young horse, relating to it about grief, and training it to be a ridden horse. Zoe, who hated school, sees she has a talent with horses.
