Insouciance is the cheerful feeling you have when nothing is troubling you and Love is an intense feeling of deep attraction. Dylan Hayes has a lot of troubles and Elliot Carson doesn't 'do' love.

Alyssa Dixon signed up to help at a summer camp for the summer. Her home life was quite chaotic since her dads new wife just had twins, she didn't want to deal with that after a rough Junior year at College. This year at college her mum and dad separated after not getting along for 19 years and a month later her dad got married and started his life over like nothing happened. Her mother wasn't stable enough to spend summer with and her dad could care less about her. She always enjoyed working with children so this would be a good distraction from her traumatic memories and the constant studying and pressure on her back. Bryce Lyons has volunteered at this summer camp every summer since he was 18. He had no problem staying away for 2 months and he would much rather that than stay at home with his mom who still believes she is 20 and is in her midlife crisis. Most of his childhood was spent with the Dixon family and although his childhood 'friend' Alyssa was his fsvourite person to tease he was glad to get away from her constant tears and drama when they both left for college. He had heard about her parents splitting up since his mom would go clubbing with her mom nearly every weekend . Alyssa's mom, Megan, usually ended up drunk crying on his couch and vent about her whole life in the rare moments Bryce was actually home. Bryce's mom, Laurie, was his favourite person but ever since she quit her job to persue writing dreams, she was different. Always under stress, always drinking some sort of alcohol and always having new men every week. Bryce knew that this summer was one to unwind from the worries about his mother and the stress of Football for College. A heart warming and heart breaking enemies to lovers
