Penelitian ini menganalisis semiotika pada pantun dan lagu nyanyian rakyat Suku Batak Toba di Sumatera Utara, khususnya pada nyanyian permainan "Sada Dua Tolu" di desa Tapian Nauli, "Butet" dari Tapanuli Utara, "Jambatan Tapanuli" di desa Tapian Nauli, serta pantun Batak Toba.
