He decides to go somewhere else, maybe the Buffet Car. After all, he didn't eat dinner (he was too nervous to eat, the idea of food made him feel sick), which lead him to the kitchen. Expecting to be alone, he waltzed into the small room, but was shocked to see someone else there. Lotus: the Coordinator of the Astral Express. He expects her to shoo him away, but instead she offers him a cup of tea. Redemption is not a destination. It's the act of sharing your night with someone who sees the stars the same way you do.
