"Seungho-yah, have you ever heard of doppelgangers?" she whispered to me as she caresses her hand gently on my forehead. I open my eyes and lace my eyes on her face. "Yeah, I have, noona. Why do you ask?" "What would you do if you see one?" "I'd approach them." I see her tilting her head, probably in confusion, by the brief answer I gave her. "Why? You do know that according to superstitions, meeting one can lead you to your death?" I turned my head and look up at her face. Her smile went from a curve to a straight line. The soft look of her eyes shifted to something else. Something.. I can't read. "Do you believe in that?" She didn't answer. "..is there something wrong, Noona? You kept questioning me this since this morning.." I ask her again. She shakes her head and smiles. "Just a random midnight thought." But what is she hiding? "Now, close your eyes and go to sleep, Seungho. You have to save energy for tomorrow." Nevertheless, I close my eyes. Tomorrow, we'll go and ride under that snowcapped carousel.
