“Do you have any wishes?” She asked.
“Yes, actually, I do,” I replied, thinking of my current lifestyle.
She smiled, a twinkle in her eyes. “Oh? Is it love, perhaps?”
I looked up, surprised. I had never ‘liked’ anyone before, it has never actually came to mind.
“No no, nothing like that,” I said, putting the locket back down.
“Here, take it,” She said suddenly, offering it to the surprised me.
“Oh, I can’t just take something like that,” I said, trying to give it back.
“Don’t worry, take it. It’s not selling anyways. Just let me tell you not to wish for something like love, it won’t work. Love works in a mysterious way. Both sides must feel equally to each other, or it does not exist. Wishing for love fights against nature. Use the wishes wisely, and not just on yourself. Use the wishes, not to cheat, but to help. To give.”
After thanking the lady multiple times, my sister dragged me off once again. She glanced at the small bag I held in my hands.
“You actually believe that stuff?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It won’t hurt to try,” I smiled.
