Basil goes over to Sunnys house for a sleepover but something unexpected happens!

Basil has an idea to relive the past, so he attempts to relive those vivid memories and hold them forever with Sunny. They'll document the last few days with each other before he moves from faraway. The past is permanent, so why can't they go back to it? However, things that were buried never truly were, and friends twist into enemies.

Basil bad ending and memory loss AU. After Basil commits suicide, Sunny has to move away from Faraway, leaving everything behind to start a new life. Basil's death took a massive toll on Sunny's life as he was not able to let go. After many years Sunny finally learned to live with the fact that Basil was not coming back, until something unexpected happened.

After confessing what they had done to Mari, Sunny moved 2 hours away from Faraway Town and Basil ended up getting therapy. It's been almost a year since Sunny moved and now Basil lives just next door to him. Basil had realized how much he truly loved Sunny after he left and now wants to tell him, but doesn't know how to say it.. !WARNING!: This has most of the main components of OMORI like written depictions of suicide, gore, PTSD, possible schizophrenia, dissociative amnesia, and depression. (Cover art belongs to: @rinjkk on Reddit, if I'm not mistaken.) (I am aware the storyline to OMORI takes place within 1994-2003, but for the sake of our time and the fact that I have no imagination, it'll take place within the current times.) Sunny had moved into the apartment with his mom he still hadn't told her about the truth and never wanted to judging on his friends' reactions hers' will be worse. Basil had texted sunny through his computer to check on him only Basil really stayed as his friend even Kel didn't want to be friends anymore. after Sunny remembered the truth he was in a worse state than he was before he barely slept only sleeping if he cried himself to sleep.

Mari never died on the day of the accident. Basil had called for help, and she was left in a coma. All because of Sunny. This was a fact his parents struggled to come to terms with. They decided they no longer wanted to continue taking care of him, and forfeited all parental rights, leaving Sunny to bounce around in the foster care system. His friends have no idea where he is and no method of contacting him. The group was left to cope with the loss of 2 dear friends, though neither of them died. Was it really so unrealistic to think they'd see Sunny again one day? Or to think that Mari would ever wake up? -Cross posted from Ao3-
