Camilla Moreau loves a good romance story, preferably ones that makes her feel slightly less single. Her boss at the bookstore often finds her giggling and kicking her feet over a particularly cute rom-com. She just never quite expected to find herself caught in the middle of the love triangles she hates so much (like honestly girl, if you can't choose between the dark brooding brunette or the cute blonde, Camilla would gladly take both) Enter Valentina, call her Val, the daughter of an impossibly rich Russian family. Spoiled childhood with housemaids, lap dogs, white mansions, summers in Miami, winters in Switzerland, and world-renowned private tutors. Val hates it. So, she obviously chooses to become a starving artist on the streets of New York City after being evicted from her last studio. Desperately, she searches for a roommate who will not only be rich enough to pay off both of their rents but also be outrageous enough to piss off her parents who are constantly pressuring her to marry. A man. Disgusting. Camilla, the shy redhead working at the bookstore is the perfect choice. Did Val also mention that Camilla was cute? Camilla hates Val immediately; she was nothing but a pretentious spoiled brat. But since she's a broke college student, anybody will do. Just as long as her parents would stop pestering her about isolating herself from society. That's all this is about, impressing their parents. The perfect deal, right?
