There are about 2-5 solar eclipses every year. All Kiara knew is that you need weird glasses to look at it. Kiara was a normal girl at her school. Not outstanding grades but not bad, mostly B's and A's. She going to try out for a sport, like most boys. Yes, she was a tomboy but that is still normal. Soccer. The solar eclipse had to be on her birthday. May 5th. She was bored out of her mind that day. She wasn't allowed to go outside or look out the window. So at exactly 12:00 a.m. She had to do it. She had to look out the window. She was watching a movie. Bend it like Beckham. Greatest movie ever. It is what got her into soccer. Her father got her that movie when she was young, like 5. She watched it on her birthday every year. She was Jess. Beckham was her idol. Her mom didn't want her playing soccer. Her father died. Her sister covered her from her abusive mom. Maggie was always there. Then that day, her birthday she had the urge to look out. A green glow was coming from her window. What was it? She had to look. She opened the blinds. The black circle with a glow around the edge. The green was coming from it. Wasn't her eyes suppose to blow up or something?- Reads 40
