As soon as I got back from school I crept inside as quietly as I could as to not let my father hear me as I made my way up the stairs to my room, but the world must have been against me that day, I heard my father down the hall yell. "Loralie Azure, get in here" he yelled scaring me, So I slowly made my way to the living room. my mom was stone-faced curled up on the couch and my father was standing in the doorway waiting for me, a glass of some alcohol in his fat hand.
