Seleigh lives in the ruins of Arizona, which is now the coldest place on Earth. At birth, everyone is given a clock. Not just an ordinary clock, but one that counts down to your death. The term for the clock is a sinyahs. When the sinyahs are broken, then your brain will begin to deteriorate. Sinyahs also give everyone a special power, but with one purpose: to kill. Seleigh can just look at a person and cause them so much pain they will drop dead at her will. And to add to everything else going on in 'Seleigh's Perfect World,' there are dangerous people. The tainted. They have a power like none has ever known. Some have the power to control flames and magma, others the earth and water. Some can even control wind speeds, currents and the weather. But some, they are the superiors. They control all four of these elements. There has only been five known to exist. Three have passed, one is lost forever in the void of night. Seleigh is the fifth and final superior. Her term is a Dunai. When she is born, her eyes have an unnatural golden color, as if they were glowing embers. Outside her iris, is a glowing white line. This is the symbol of the dangers to the society, the tainted. When Seleigh receives her sinyah, she's determined she can stop the madness and evil in her world. As she meets new people, and also says goodbye, she realizes her mission to destroy the sinyahs may not be as easy as it seems, especially for a Dunai.

Long before all of creation existed, God had a favorite companion. It was Primus, the black dragon, a creature of magnificence, awe, one that is imbued with immortality, and powers nearly matching that of God's. After God had decided to create the universe, Primus was immediately given the tremendous duty of protecting all of creation. However, a tragic event of celestial proportions had caused Primus to dance with death. Despite being immortal, his body, serving as the vessel for his immortal essence dissipated. A million years later, he was reincarnated in the world of men as a high school student. It was prophesized that one day, he will be both savior and protector of men.
