When Izuku was young he awakened his quirk. In excitement he begged his mother to take them to get it registered and so they did. Upon the doctor getting more information on his quirk gained a saddened look "I'm sorry but you quirk is just far too destructive to be a hero," he said crushing Izuku's dream. The following day he showed his quirk to Katsumi and she gained a saddened expression as well. Izuku looked at her with his million watt smile and said "Be a hero for the both of us," he said but she just shook her head "No, I believe in you Izu, you can be a hero with me!"
