The story of shut follows a college animation student, someone who's relatively silent. He doesn't speak to people often, he doesn't really do anything other than going to class and do his homework. One day during his semester, his mouth suddenly starts shutting, his mouth isn't able to open. He has to find a way to keep it open or meet a cruel, awful fate.

When Ivy starts seeing things in the shadows, she gets curious. She doesn't run away from them, or ignore them, that's not the type of girl she is. One spring day, on her walk home, Ivy decides to figure out what the hell is going on with these shadow creatures. She just assumes they're ghosts, but she find out a whole lot more when she digs deeper.
