(Same book-different cover. I had to change it....) Is there anyone who, yes, loved the whole plot of the Renegades series but really liked the love part of it. I have seen some other fanfic (not saying they are bad or anything) but I didn't really see any that were focused on the love only so I just created my own.

He discovers the key to the cure on an ancient civilization's planet and embarks on a perilous journey to obtain a rare element to synthesize the cure and save humanity.

When three beings discover something that has fallen out of the sky, they make an impression upon it that decides the fate of the whole of their race, and the world they live on. (It's just something I wrote when I was in a weird 'gotta get it out' sort of mood. It literally flopped out of my head and onto the computer... I'd really appreciate it if you found it in your hearts to give it a go, and to possible tell me what you think of my first attempt at a very strange short story...) :D

She was left there, hanging in a basket from a tree branch, with only one indication of who she was - a slip of paper that read Nova. Normally, an abandoned baby would not go to the highest authorities. Normally, the baby would just be put into foster care, or adopted out. But this girl was different. She was stronger than the rest of the children her age. She was smarter. And her arrival had been predicted decades ago. Growing up in a world where everybody had a powerful ability wasn't easy for anybody. They all had to learn to control their powers from a young age, and somehow keep it under control for every moment of the rest of their lives. Keeping everyone's power in check was the only was there could be peace. Which was why Nova scared them. She had more power than she thought, nobody knew just how strong she could become. If she ever reached her potential, they wouldn't be able to keep her in line. She could become a dangerous weapon. They could not take her out of her confinement area, they could not risk her becoming stronger. She grew tired of it. But when the door to her locked room opened in the middle of the night, revealing a boy with a mischievous look on his face, her life began anew.
