When the world is turned upside after a deadly virus starts to wipe out the human race all hope seems completely lost. Humans no longer just live, they strive to survive. There are still many people on earth but most are dead and instead infected by the virus and turned into corpses. The remaining humans have survived for over two years, but how long can the human race really survive?

Taven, a seventeen year old boy whose world becomes turned upside down when a latent gene activates. He finds himself with the ability to see through fae glamours and identify other supernatural creatures for what they really are. The fae know that he is out there and want him dead, but luckily his neighbor who just happens to be a werewolf realizes what Taven is and moves him to the safety of his Alpha's home. Now a thousand year old pact between werewolf and fae is in jeopardy.

Long ago relationships between youkai and humans were becoming greater and greater there became offspring of the relationships between youkai and humans called ninkai. After hundreds of years passed ninkai slowly blended in with the humans and were thought to have died out. Truth is that humans are still surrounded by ninkai but the ninkai disguise themselves. The setting takes place hundreds of years later after the relationships between human and youkai became illegal. There is a special large school that had been built for just the ninkai but there is a barrier around it so humans do not realize the true people hiding in the school . It follows the characters around their daily lives of having to be ninkai and shows how difficult it can be for the ninkai kind.
