To hurt the goddess clan, goddesses each year are assigned to each demon prince, the demon kings choice of who, around 150 goddesses forcefully petitioned. The unlucky 3 would be chosen to serve the 3 princes, without any existing relationship. This year, one of the goddesses catches Meliodas's eye, along with being assigned. But not to him. It wouldn't hurt to stretch the boundaries just a little bit....right??
