Team Sonic and the Super Mario brothers are back for a cosmic adventure where the fate of the entire galaxy hangs in the balance. As Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad now relax in the Mushroom Kingdom, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles try to get through high school. After Sonic meets a tenrec named Surge and shelters her in his home, he starts to grow on her, determined to keep her safe all while she joins them on their school's study abroad program. Shortly after the Mario Bros befriend a Yoshi, the blue blur's spring break gets turned upside down when the gang faces a new enemy named Bowser Junior. Alongside him is a sentient Al and a mysterious jackal called Infinite, who is hellbent on capturing Surge, keeping Princess Rosalina imprisoned, and fulfilling an oath he made with Bowser. Despite the chaos, Shadow the Hedgehog tags along as well after escaping Bowser and Metal Overlord's wrath. With no other choice, Team Sonic and the Mario Bros travel across the stars to stop Junior's wicked ambitions and save the galaxy all while learning secrets about Shadow's new powers, Surge's origins, and Bowser's connection to Infinite. Even with everything at stake, one question remains on Sonic's mind: was this new adventure an accident or a destiny written in the stars? hey hi its me again ready to tear at your heart strings. I was craving more Surge and Kit sibling bonding so I played on this headcanon I have where kit is afraid of the dark.

After Dr. Eggman powers the warp topaz with more energy than it can handle, a wormhole drags him, Sonic, Tails & Amy through it. Now stranded on the Starfall Islands, Sonic has lost his memory and must explore the Islands to get some answers. Accompanying him is a certain green Tenrec who begins questioning her own morals. This is my take on the plot of Sonic Frontiers.
