Daniella Rothman's exploration with a group of British people into the Indian Ocean came to a problematic coastal town. Sunda Kelapa is the final stop, but the place where it all started. Daniella meets Suro, a porter at the port who is friends with Josef, a religious leader who is a regular patron of the Governor General of Batavia.
