Survival is all about rules. It's really very simple. Follow the rules and maybe you last just a little bit longer than most other people. These rules are harsh. They are cruel and unforgiving. You might not like them. Hell, you may hate them, but the fact is you must listen to them. I don't really care if you think that's too hard. I don't care if you believe me and I don't care if you think I'm just being a hard-ass. Go right ahead, think that if you must. The rules still stand. Sit there and deny all you want. If you think you can do it better than me that's fine, just don't come looking for sympathy when things go south because you didn't follow the rules. Looking at you I already have my reservations. I just get this feeling that you aren't going to even listen to the rules. But I'm tired of watching people die of stupidity so I'm going to teach them to you anyway. Listen to my story, I'm only going to tell it once. Decided to take up the #30DaysofUndeadSummer challenge, because zombies.

[Watty Awards Finalist 2013] The virus has begun. A deadly virus that destroys humanity. A virus that replaces the living with creatures that crave human flesh. As the human race dwindles, an unlikely group of young survivors battle against the odds to live. But what they're about to realise is that some things are even more dangerous than the creatures they face...themselves.

She didn't know the thing had crept into her home, or that her world, the entire world, was about to end.

How We Died is kind of a spin-off of Mandy's Last Day...a continuation of how a variety of people died as the world falls. The caveat here is that, it may not always be in the world of Mandy, it may be something else as the mood strikes me. This will be an ongoing project that will likely have a mix of longer short stories and flash fiction, perhaps even something along the lines of micro-fiction, if that is, indeed, such a thing. Anyway, this will be updated when a new story strikes me. The first one is some of that previously mentioned micro-fiction. :)
