A seventeen year old named Zahra Foster thought the year would be great, after all it always seems like that after new years, you get a new start. But growing up with five older brothers and a dad who still have that inner child in him you don't really expect much to change. All your hoping for is to find the house in a decent state, which doesn't happen often when they're around. How does this girl with an attitude handle all these boys. More importantly how does she handle not having them around anymore, being the youngest of the house while four of them attend university and the youngest brother setting off to join them in a year's time can be a depressing thought. And when you have so many traditions and habits you might lose more than yourself when changing one. This is an extremely rough book to read. A long time ago an ancient and pure race known as the precursors ruled the would now know as RIM. They were told to have had magic more powerful then any magic used now a days. They also had weapons that could wipe out entire mountains and burn hundreds of plains. They power was to grate for even them to use. Therefore they sild these magical artifacts away with there super weapons. They hid them away with tons of gold and valuable never to see the light of day there were locked with special keys made of different colored diamond. The diamonds were broken and scared to the four winds never to be reunited. The precursors work was in vane as there own power killed them off. This story fallows the journey of Euden, one of the last survivers from the horrific testing camps of 2040. The world is plagued with radiation, and man kind fights for food and shelter. Euden is from camp 10-80, a camp wich focused on the physical mutation of the human body. Prologue:I stood on the cold moist stone of the cavern floor,my breathing intensified. I let my senses take hold, I reached out, I could feel the vibration in the air. Movement was within twenty feet of the squadron, most of the squadron was injered, so physical confrontation would be left to me, Alice , and Vantron.

One terrible year, a horrible Virus swept threw the world, effecting everyone over the age of 14. As people fell sick with the virus, their brains rotted, their skin erupted with boils and rashes, and their flesh weakens. Once they have the virus, they are not human. Their is something about it that changes the way the victims think. Because the children (14 years old and over) aren't effected, their flesh is pure. Sick, Desperate and crazy the Adults eat their children alive. But as many children die many children escape from the Sickos Grasps and run. As kids find each other, they form groups. they gather weapons, swords, bows, daggers, axes anything they can get their hands on. Parentless, they fight against Sickos and sometimes against their selfs

The world is coming to it's end, but there are still humans out there fighting to survive, to overcome these monsters. With the Word in darkness one woman is fighting for the survivel of her two small children Who might be what the world needs to turn the odds for mankindis survivel in their favor.
