In this story Susannnah dies the next summer after Belly's birthday. Before you start reading this just know that I have written stories before but this is my first time posting a story so give me your honest feedback when you read the first chapter. Also this story is going to be in first person. Belly and Conrad have been together for almost two years now on and off over the summer. Taylor and Steven have been dating for one year and are constantly together so we probably won't see them and I don't know how to really fit them into the story right if you have any suggestions I woukd love to hear them. Her mom Kathrine (Katie) died when she was five from a brain tumor. Then her dad died in a car accident on December the 4th, when she was nine. Her mom, Susannah and Laurel have been friends since college. Her dad had dropped her off at Susannah's beach house every summer since her mom died, so she could be close to people her mom knew. Then soon after her dad passed Laurel took her in and she lived with Belly and Steven for 5 years. I'm going to use Belly's birthday from the book becausemy birthday is also at the end of August (the 29th), but one year before, so she's 15. Now let's begin the story.

summer was audrey's favorite time of year. not because school was over, but because she got to be with her favorite people in the world. every summer the conklin's, laurel, steven, belly, and audrey who was affectionately nicknamed birdie met up with fisher's, susannah, conrad, jeremiah, and louis at cousins beach. movie nights, ice cream, singing in the shower. that's how summer always was, until this summer. everything was almost darker in a way.

Y/N can't wait for the summer months that she gets to spend in her favorite place.
