COUSINS BEACH is built on reliability. Conrad reads the newspaper like a grandpa at breakfast, Jeremiah always steals the last muffin, Belly stares at Conrad with love-heart eyes. These are things that are always the same, things Julia can rely on. Nate is also one. He's been there for the quiet moments, the night swims, the long days reading paperbacks in the sand. They've always been close, easy, comfortable, safe. But this summer, something is different. Everything is different. The familiar rhythms of Cousins start to shift, making every step fragile. Summer becomes a blur of old habit, unspoken feelings and the weight of the sun on their shoulders. In Cousins, some things never really end.

So this is my first story ive written in a VERY long time, so please give me some tips to add to my writing and what you like about it (🫣)! also this entire story will be basically all of the first season of tsitp script, with an added female character. Every summer always felt usually the same, but this summer Maya could feel it was going to be different. Maya Barlow had to live with the Conklins since she was 3 years old, considering both her parents sadly passed in a fatal car incident. Belly and Steven had already felt like siblings to her since she was young considering she was always over at their house anyways. Every summer, they would go to the Fishers beach house. The two fisher boys, and their beautiful mother, Susannah. Jeremiah and I instantly connected the moment we met, Conrad and I, not so much. After a while, we got along though. Cousins Beach was a special place for all of the Conklins. All of the family's best memories have been made in Cousins. Between the beach, the summer house, the homemade ice cream shop, but most importantly the Fishers- Susannah, Conrad, and Jeremiah. For the older Conklin children life was at it's peak this summer- Steven had a new job at the country club and a new, very hot, girlfriend while Belly was experiencing the teenage life she'd always desired as a result of her new glow up- deb balls, parties, boys, and the thing she'd dreamed of most, Conrad Fisher, right at her finger tips. Unfortunately for the youngest Conklin child, Kira, an epic summer wasn't the case. All the new attention for Belly had taken away the thing she dreamed of most, Jeremiah Fisher. If Conrad was destined to be with Belly, why was it Jeremiah's lips she caught on her sister? Everything was changing this summer, and Kira was planning to do everything in her power to hold onto her summer wish. DISCLAIMER!!! This is just a fanfiction. I did not create any characters besides Kira Conklin. The rest of the characters and the main storyline belong to Jenny Han and are from her series "The Summer I Turned Pretty".
