One. She looked up at me, her eyes reflected the blood running down the cement walls behind me. Two, her body flinched to her side, her eyes went white. Three. The four of us watched us her body went limp, and the blood all around us pooled out of the corners of her mouth. Four. A shadow ran down the hall, a light shining ahead of it. The silhouette grew near, but none of us had the audacity to look its way. The darkened figure began yelling at us, our eyes were locked on the disfiguring body of our friend. A bright light bounced off the crimson walls, blinding us with guilt. Following it's yielder, was four tall men, appalled by the scene. Five. Grey fabric wrapped our heads as a string tightened around our necks. Six. The screams hushed. Our voices brittle and weak. My head felt numb, as a rush of panic flooded my thoughts. I took my last breath, incapsulated in the sinister walls of cell 119.
