Dans le monde moderne, Shen Yuan, son frère jumeau Shen Jiu, et leur grand frère Shen Qi vivaient une vie tranquille. Shen Yuan, le plus jeune, aimait passer ses journées à lire des romans web, tandis que Shen Jiu, bien que son jumeau, avait un caractère plus acerbe et distant. Quant à Shen Qi, ou plutôt "Da-ge", il était le pilier de la famille, le modèle à suivre, toujours calme et protecteur. Bien que très proches, ils avaient chacun leurs propres chemins. Cependant, la paix de cette famille fut brusquement interrompue le jour où Shen Yuan mourut subitement. Lorsque son âme quitta ce monde, elle ne disparut pas. Elle se retrouva propulsée dans un autre univers, dans le corps d'un personnage qu'il connaissait bien : Shen QingQiu, un des antagonistes d'un roman qu'il avait lu, Proud Immortal Demon Way (PIDW). La vie de Shen Jiu en tant qu'esclave de la famille Qiu depuis 1 ans était un enfers. Même si il n'avait pas encore été touché là où il pensait, c'était une question de temps mais un jours tous ceux-ci prendra fin lorsqu'il sauvera un serpent vert.

They don't understand that maybe he was too occupied ensuring his survival, that his king was well and content enough to not beat him, and helping Shen Qingqiu with the mess that he got into. It's not his fault, how is going to notice if his king was never nice to him before? How is going to notice if there are too much things that needs his attention? Why no one puts in his place for once, and helps him instead of insulting him? Honestly, it was all too infuriating and tiring at the same time
