After finally finding a place in the family, sixteen-year-old Callie should be doing better.
And in some ways, she is.
She laughs more easily. She starts calling Olivia and Elliot "Mom" and "Dad" without hesitation. Slowly, painfully, she begins to build an identity outside of the case file that created her.
But healing isn't linear.
As Callie struggles with panic attacks, self-harm, fear of abandonment, and the terrifying question of who she really is, Olivia and Elliot learn that loving their daughter means staying through every setback - locked bedroom doors, midnight spirals, bad nights, and all.
At the same time, Callie begins discovering something she never had before: siblings who tease her relentlessly, family movie nights that end in chaos, overprotective parents, and a home loud enough to drown out the worst parts of her mind.
