After that, the town changed; it seemed like every day there was a new dead body. Panic and chaos filled the quiet town of Riverdale, and more and more bad things just kept happening. One day, the students of Southside High started attending Riverdale High, causing a lot of tension at school. Jocks hated Southside kids, and Southside kids hated anyone on the north side of town. There's a very slight exception to that, though; you get along with most of the Southside kids, especially a certain tall, dark, and handsome gang member named Sweet Pea. He was everything you never knew you wanted. He was exciting. Every moment spent with him felt worth living, an excitement you hadn't felt ever before, and boy, was it amazing. When you two would crash and burn out, you'd come back to eachother everytime. It doesn't matter if he'd been out with other girls. Your minds always wandered back to thoughts of the other.

Melody Singer mother died from cancer and her father got call back into the army. So now she lives with the Andrews because Fred Andrews is her godfather? But what's gonna happen when she meets a certain Serpent? And what secret is she hiding from everyone? And what secret is she not being told?

Betty moved to Riverdale in Sophomore year because of her abusive dad and drunken mom. Polly and Charles are twins and Polly already was living in Riverdale with her twins Juniper and Dagwood. Jason (he is alive in this) was staying with Polly also. When Betty got to Southside High she was hard as nails but the bad boy caught her eye Jughead Jones. He was her mentor buddy until Southside high got shut down and everyone moved to Riverdale High where she met Veronica and Archie and her Cousin Cheryl. Veronica and Betty became close as friends but she still was crushing on Jughead until he approached Betty in her room and kissed her. They decided to met each other's families after two months of dating. Her dad didn't support it so he kept on abusing Betty while Alice sat there watching it happen. The few months after Betty is diagnosed with cancer in her lungs. She never told Jughead and he saw her in hospital the next day and cried just by seeing her in pain.
