Story Description:
In a world reshaped by biological catastrophe, nature has reclaimed cities and silence haunts the skeletons of civilization. A mysterious pandemic known as the "Bloom" swept across the globe, mutating both environment and humanity. From its wake emerged hybrid children-part human, part animal-shunned by the remnants of humanity and hunted by those who see them as either miracle or menace.
Freya, a German Shepherd hybrid with glacial blue eyes and ghost-white hair, was born in a hidden lab-engineered, not by nature, but by human hands desperate to survive extinction. Raised in isolation, trained as a tracker and protector, she escapes after the lab falls under attack, stepping into a world she's only heard about in filtered stories.
Alone but driven by a strange inner compass, Freya sets out across the wild overgrowth of the former world. Along the way, she discovers whispers of a sanctuary called The Verdant Line, a mythical place where hybrids can live free and safe. As she journeys, she begins to unravel secrets about the Bloom, her own origins, and the buried sins of those who created her.
But Freya isn't the only one seeking the truth-mercenary hunters, scientists clinging to a broken past, and even other hybrids with their own scars and agendas will cross her path. In a world where survival often demands losing one's humanity, Freya must choose whether to embrace her feral side... or bloom into something new.
