From the tender age of three, my life took an unexpected turn as I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. Suddenly, my existence straddled the realms of both normalcy and disability. Prior to that diagnosis, I was treated just like any other child, enjoying the same experiences and opportunities as my peers. But it was at that pivotal age of three when my core memory solidified, forever etching the haunting events that unfolded on a fateful day at the playground. That traumatic incident planted seeds of fear that continue to grip me to this very day. The wailing sirens of an ambulance now evoke more dread within me than the fiercest thunderstorm. My life was forever altered, forever defined by that moment. Throughout the years, the desire to write about my life, to share my story with the world, has burned within me. I carry a profound understanding of the isolation that accompanies this journey. It is my earnest wish that this book, borne from my experiences, finds its way to someone out there, someone who feels the weight of incomprehension bearing down upon them. May my words serve as a beacon of solace and understanding in their lives, reminding them that they are not alone.
