Taking I deep breath, I closed my eyes and opened my mouth. I'm so sorry ears. I let out an ear shattering scream. I let out all my frustration, anger, love, confusion, and sadness into this one scream.
Within second the barred door swung open and strong arms were wrapped around me. I almost, almost, let myself get comfortable. But I couldn't- I wouldn't let myself get caught up in this. I have things to finish. I didn't run away from my own pack at the age of nine for nothing. I didn't spend 11 years as a rogue to be stopped by- by my mate. No.
"Are you ok!?" My mate said. His voice full of worry and confusion. I squirmed in his embrace. Tugging on the silver chains. The burning sensation was great enough to bring tears to my eyes, but I ignored it. I needed out of here.
As if he read my mind, his arms quickly swung towards the chains. I watched as the silver- oh the irony- burned him, but he didn't flinch or hesitate, which hurt me far worse then the chains did. Knowing what I'm about to do will hurt him more.
As soon as the chains were off, I was out of his grasp and out of the cell. Before he could react, I closed to the cell doors, locking them too-locking him in there. I made the mistake of looking at his face. That's when it hit me harder than before.
His blue eyes, brown hair, high cheekbones, and the sadness and confusion- and most of all hurt- in his eyes. I wanted to rip open the door and apologize- and I almost did- but I stopped myself. Tears threatened to escape me but I held them in.
There was nothing I could say but,
"I'm sorry, mate."
