For billions of years, the Universe was governed by four supreme beings: the God of Matter, the God of Force, the God of Time, and the God of Causality. Together, they maintained reality itself, the laws that separated past from future, cause from effect, life from death.
Then they vanished.
As the Universe reached the end of its lifespan, the Gods disappeared, and reality began to fall apart. Time stopped flowing. The past, present, and future collided. Entire civilizations appeared and disappeared without warning. Heroes, kings, monsters, and legends from every era suddenly returned to a world on the brink of destruction.
At the same time, a select few awakened a mysterious power.
Some gained the strength to level mountains. Others could control death, alter memories, or reshape the world around them.
These powers became known as Authorities.
Those who fully mastered an Authority were said to sit upon a Throne. Those who possessed only a portion of its power carried Fragments. As powerful individuals rose across the world, nations collapsed and wars erupted over the remains of creation.
In the midst of the chaos, a nameless young man discovers a secret hidden from all of humanity.
And before the end, the Universe chose a successor.
As the heir to Matter, Force, Time, and Causality, he inherits the power of the very beings who created reality. But instead of becoming the world's savior, he begins searching for the truth behind the Gods' disappearance.
Why was the Universe destined to die?
What were the Gods trying to escape?
And why does every answer point toward a terrifying truth?
The Universe was never meant to last forever.
Now, hunted by legends from every age and burdened with the inheritance of creation itself, he must decide whether to save a dying world...
...or become the one who brings its story to an end.
"If the Gods are gone, then I will inherit their Thrones. And if this Universe must end, then I will decide how."
