The story follows his escape from Grand Admiral Thrawn and takes a more in depth look to his transition from an ISB Agent to a Rebel Intelligence operative. Yay! I had my first Star Wars Rebels dream! I don't even know when this is placed, except before the rebellion, and....durning the Clone Wars? During the future? AU for A New Dawn? The times don't exaaaactly add up (the story has Kanan, Jedi, Master Depa Bilba, Hera, TONS of Sith Lords, and FYI Kanan and Hera are the same age as in A New Dawn) but hey, dreams are usually wacky anyway! =D. This book takes place between the season 3 premiere of SW Rebels and Zero Hour. Eventually this book may skip around as well to episodes in the middle of Season 4. Aruna Accalia - a 13-year-old girl - has been in hiding, secretly working for the Rebellion - particularly Senators Mon Mothma and Bail Organa who then transmit her information to Phoenix Squadron. Meanwhile, Thrawn needs to win Tarkin's favor in order to continue with his own secret project. He knows Krennic has been swaying Tarkin over with his own secret project, the name and design unknown to Thrawn. Thrawn has been very successful in most everything he does; of course, he does need help from a certain Fulcrum agent: Agent Kallus. Thrawn has his suspicions of Kallus, and if he's right, Kallus will soon be the cause of his own demise. But he needs Kallus to find and capture the one person who could win over Tarkin: the Grey Jedi. But what if Kallus doesn't really know where she is? Then Thrawn may discover a secret well kept and hidden - one that needs to stay that way. The Gray Jedi has an apprentice. A sequel of "Love will rescue" it was two years ago after when Sabine and Ezra were captured by the Empire, since after when Ezra return to Atollon the rebel base from his Coruscant adventure. Now Ezra decides to spend time with his girlfriend Sabine Wren as they travel to Concord Dawn to go on a mission along with Fenn Rau and Chopper. Meanwhile Darth Maul, the former sith has plans for Ezra he talks with Gar Saxon to sent someone to find Ezra's weakness and make him to turn on the dark side. When the spy returns to Gar and told him that the padawan's weakness is: Sabine Wren. Ezra will do what he can to save Sabine and not joining the dark side.

Attacked by multiple squadrons of TIE defenders, the Phantom II goes down on a remote moon, with both Ezra and Sabine stranded and heavily injured. It has been a hard road, what with not being connected to the rebellion anymore. But we've all managed; Kanan says my training has excelled to the point where I could even become a knight soon. Pretty great, right? But I think it's Kanan who's become an even better jedi. He's been working through his blindness (he's been going through this whole thing about not wanting to be useless to the rebellion phase. Wish he'd realize he's never useless to the rebellion. Or us.) I know the fight isn't over for me. I know the Empire still wants me. I've sensed my uncle's anger at losing me to the rebellion. I know he will try again. But this adventure feels different. It feels like this whole battle for the 'Bridger child' will end soon. But how? I can't bear to see my family go through pain and almost death for me again. Because if I lost them, I would feel responsible for their deaths. It would all be because of me, the boy with yellow eyes.
