I wrote this story when I was a freshman in high school. It is horrible, but it was a story that all of my friends got to have input in and they encouraged me to finish it. A group of friends has their lives changed forever after they are kidnapped and experimented on.

The silence was perfect, just how I like it. No chaos, no anger, no imperfection, a clean crisp silence. Something that I have not had in a while. That was until Clove began to cry in my arms. "Oh shhh. Love, it's alright." I whispered lovingly to the small child in my arms. She looked just like her father with her bright blue eyes and olive skin. I sat there remembering Kairen and the happy moments we used to have as husband and wife and wishing he was here to help me raise our two children. But now.... he's gone. Just me and the two loves of my life, Theron, my three year old son and Clove, my infant daughter. I begin to tear up at the thought of me, a 19 year old widow raising two kids all alone. How did I get to this point? I would give anything to go back to when everything was fine and I didn't have to fear for my family and my safety. "Kairen, where are you? I need you! We need you!" I began to cry out loud. "Please..."
