The inspiration for this playful limerick came from the fun I had with the rhyme work in my limerick, A POET NAMED ANDREW, published recently when Andrew Green, the author of Margaret's Story, was learning to write his first tempoem. This limerick contains a simple, quite obvious message for those of you who might be learning to write limericks.

A mystical moon enthused chaos wielder adventures through life conflicts using haiku spells to shape the world around him... He meets an oceanic monk cleric and a prince along the way and they each improve upon each other's craft as they share a path in these few short haiku adventures.

An assortment of different forms of poetry, covering a wide variety of subjects. Everything from humour to satire, from happiness to depression! In the end though, it is all a battle against oneself and one's humanity...

Poem

We all have regrets. We all smile. We all frown. Sometimes all we need is an encouraging word from others or seeing that someone else is also going through pain to understand one's self. In this book which consist of poems, entries, and thoughts there are stones in which no one would consider to glance at but also sees a new way to treasure. This book is for those who are in need or curious. This is my atonement. How I write when I need. Now take a look--even if it were just a glance. Who knows? The words that follow may surprise you.

Ironically enough, I'm more of a vegetable person. But, for people who enjoy fruit, I hope that you enjoy this poem. It was my first haiku I've ever had to write, so I messed it up and made it extended, but I've grown into the habit of writing extended haiku's, so as well as the topic, I hope that you could enjoy that as well.

This is so far my shortest extended Haiku describing an owl at night. The ending mentions a pen, and is being compared to the owl. The meaning of this is to point at the entire poem symbolizing that I, the author, have recently become a night worker, writing my works at night. Like the owl, my mind is a predator at night, looking for inspiration to write down on paper. Beautiful works, but also dangerously insightful, I suppose, is what I was getting at. But, really, that depends how you the reader feels about my works.
