This is an experimental poem I wrote for my poetry book that flows a bit like a song. This is only my final draft which isn't the last phase in my writing process; I like to polish it afterwards via shaping it's form factor, rhythm, and aesthetical grammar etc. I was inspired by my own mental maturation and my anxiety regarding achieving a stable independent livelihood. In general, I was influenced conceptual escapism, by depressive thoughts about being alive and a cherished synthwave song of mine. Other themes and messages I'll leave you to interpret. You'll meet plenty of common folk as we explore the world of Synthmark together. There is nothing overtly special about them, except their ability to get on with life. No fuss, no drama. Just life. And that is a superpower so often overlooked. Other people you meet will stand out from the common folk. It doesn't mean they are any more important or special, though a couple will be, but it might be because you relate to them better. For others the events in their life make them rise above the rest, they become a reluctant hero. While others are born with unique talents and abilities. And finally, some stand out because they simply wish to, they thirst for the spotlight and will do almost anything to rise to the top. The first person you'll meet is Judas Crook. Be careful what Judas tells you, don't believe him. He can be persuasive but be on your guard. Judas has a thirst for power and wealth, and he gets it by feeding off the unsuspecting. Stealing their data, selling their life stories.
