Cora Drake can see the other world. A world that is supposed to be hidden from the eyes of all mankind, but for her, the veil has been lifted. After a near death experience when she was fourteen, Cora Drake blocked the memories out, never wanting to re-live them again. The scars on her body being her only reminder. Four years on the traumatic events soon begin to reveal themselves in her dreams, where she sees the distorted face of a man she knows in her heart is not human. The man who had saved her life. The long lost gift that she had since forgotten is also awakened and develops into a dangerous power she doesn’t know how to control. Is it a gift or a curse? She leans towards the latter when, as she starts to see more of the hidden world, it causes a chain reaction that threatens to destroy not only her life, but the lives of those around her. Not aware that what happened that day is the key, she must uncover the truth and at the same time try to deal with the issues of normal, daily life, while the dreaded consequences of knowing more than she should about the other side becomes chillingly clear. ******** This work is unedited but hopefully readable ;) Please DON'T FORGET TO VOTE AND COMMENT. THANK YOU

[Under major changes] "All I asked for was peace. Not any less or more." Both teenagers, Hassan Saad and Radiya Mansour lived a life of serenity throughout their time on earth. Nothing seemed to fall out of place as they awaited their well-expected graduation which would have been peeking at their doors in the short span of a year. But one day political conflicts arise and in the batter of an eyelash, everything was falling apart tragically. They find themselves in an irrational affair with death, the finest line they had ever been pushed to walk on. Fate has never been stronger and their lives were on display to the harsh world just to be stolen from them ultimately. Will the line snap, leaving them to be doomed, or not? Alternating between Radiya and Hassan's broken voices as they hold onto their dear lives, They Stole Our Lives is a heartbreaking novel about the abundant lives lost to the Arab Spring throughout the Middle East. While shedding light on the most unspoken topics accompanying that situation, it will leave you in ethereal tears even before you set thumb on the end.

-'UN says urgent aid is needed amid multiple breaches of ceasefire.' -'Airstrikes destroyed an Aleppo hospital backed by Médecins Sans Frontières and the International Committee of the Red Cross, killing patients and doctors.' -'In the past 48 hours there has been an average of one Syrian civilian killed every 25 minutes, and one wounded every 13 minutes.' | that was on the 28th of April 2016 and the numbers continue to rise... | What is this war coming to?! :( Attempted poetry although I have no where near captured the fear, heartache and ruins. I just can't find any words to write about something so horrific...

Fighting battles against life, Ahmad was able to build himself strong enough to get himself out of the psychological prison he captured himself into as growing up in a city where the sound of another bomb blast didn't surprise anyone. The fear of death had vanished from the hearts of the people as they witnessed something more horrific something unexplainable. Ahmad's faded faith in love and affection had came back to life after moving back to his mother's homeland, Lahore after the death of his uncle. Meeting Aisha in Lahore was one of the incidents which helped Ahmed wash away the memories of the dark times and live a life which is a right of every human being.
