Chaseia Ysellaine Azores had her life scripted from the day she was born. Every achievement, every smile, and even the man she was supposed to marry were all predetermined. But when she left her heavy lace gown on the floor and walked out of the church, she didn't just leave a wedding-she left a life that wasn't hers. Now hiding in the misty, quiet corners of Tagaytay, Chaseia has traded her pearls for a production assistant's headset. She spends her days managing other people's "Happily Ever Afters" while trying to heal her own "Once Upon a Time." She wanted a life that was simple. She wanted a life that was quiet. Then there is Isaiah Justin Velentza. A structural engineer who understands foundations and a baker who understands patience, Ice doesn't offer her a grand, certain future. Instead, he offers her a "perhaps." Perhaps they can bake through the stress. Perhaps she can stay hidden a little longer. Perhaps the first person to truly see her isn't the man she was supposed to marry, but the man who offers her sanity and a quiet place to breathe. In a world full of grand gestures and suffocating expectations, they might just find that the simplest things-like a box filled with sweet treats and an honest conversation are the only things worth holding on to.

Three years ago, Elena Reyes left a note in the back of a thesis and sent it across an ocean. It said: Yes. I feel it. I am not ready yet. But I am closer than I was yesterday. Sera Villanueva read it on the floor of her apartment in Singapore, wrote in her journal - she said yes - and went to work. She built a life. She made a friend named Rafa who fed her on Tuesdays and told her the truth about herself. She kept the note. She kept the tabs. She waited, not because she had no choice, but because she understood that some things could not be rushed - only arrived at. Three years later, a regional conference in Tagaytay puts them in the same hotel garden on the same evening, and three years of closer than yesterday becomes: here. But Elena has a kind man her mother approves of, old habits that haven't entirely loosened, and a life in Cavite that has made her more herself than she ever expected. Sera has a best friend whose easy closeness makes Elena feel things she has no professional framework for. And both of them are going to have to stop being so careful before they lose the window entirely. Book Two is warmer than Book One. There is laughter. There is jealousy - the petty, embarrassing, completely human kind. There is one real argument, one honest goodbye, and a garden in the morning where someone finally says the word out loud. Not in a note this time. In the light. Where it can be heard. [ GL · Slow Burn · Second Chance · Filipino Fiction · Sequel to Book One ]

Story Overview The Space Between Us is a bittersweet love story centered on Lia, a Business Admin student balancing her dreams with family responsibilities. Set in Manila and Tagaytay, it follows her journey as she navigates her feelings for two very different men-one who represents a life of adventure and ambition, and another who offers stability and a connection to home. The story explores how love isn't always about choosing between "who you love more" but about what you need to build a life that feels true to yourself. - Main Characters: - Lia: The female lead, kind-hearted and grounded, torn between her dreams and her duty to her family. - Calix: The male lead-an aspiring artist with big dreams of making it in Paris, who shares Lia's hopes for a life together far from home. - Kael: The second lead-Calix's best friend and a nurse, quiet and dependable, who stands by Lia through her struggles and offers a life rooted in the place she calls home. - Central Conflict: Lia must choose between following her heart with Calix to Paris, or staying to care for her family and building a life with Kael-ultimately realizing that love alone isn't enough to bridge the gap between what she wants and what she needs. - Tone: Emotional and heartfelt, with moments of warmth and joy balanced by the sadness of letting go of a love that can't fit into the life one must live.
