PhD Student Maria Yuquibo finds herself stranded on an unfathomably immense structure out in the middle of space whose surface holds not only endless space, but dark, endless rabbit holes on the nature of the galaxy and her existence. From lost societies, and political upheaval, to creatures with extra-dimensional power. What is this place? Where or when is it? How, and why did it come about? And most importantly who could build such a structure? Maria must navigate it all if she wants to find answers and get herself home.

This is a story using my indigenous Taino heritage language. Each story with a lesson about life.

This story follows how one woman turned into the most feared and well known of Caribbean folklore characters - La Diablesse (loosely translated as She Devil) a creature of fantastic beauty with a telltale cloven hoof that lures men to their death.

For the first sixteen years of his life he has done all he could not to bring disruption to his family, but on his sixteenth birthday something happened, his birth mother comes to greet him revealing she is the Goddess Hel and Alberto is her son.

Marisol was born and raise in Puerto Rico. An island known as the island of enchantment. However, Marisol was not able to see the good parts of the island or what it offers and instead wanted to finish her last year of high school and move to the USA. A fateful meeting with a taino girl might be the thing that opens her eyes and the people who live on the island. To what is happening to it and how the taino girl and the island are suffering. Some of the dialogue will be in Spanish, but I will have translation at the end.

After a tragic event in their childhood, twins Amara and Armando are driven away from the place they used to call their home. Years later, the possibility of another loss is what brings them back. Amara can see faceless mythological beings that others -including her brother- are not able to detect. The eerie gift will help them uncover the mystery surrounding a plethora of disappearances tied to the area around their old home; and finally understand why their superstitious grandmother is so wary of lurkers among the trees.

Perfect for fans of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Chronicles of Narnia. Irene Rosales Vivas is so stoked for summer to start. She daydreams about playing on her gameboy and 123 Pescao with her little brother, Alejandro, and hanging out with friends at the beaches of San Juan. Then her mami packs up the whole family in Papi's car and sets their destination for her estranged abuelo's home in Camuy. Upon meeting her abuelo, she notices how dismissive he is to her mami and how he makes everything about himself, souring her impression of the man. The last thing Irene expected was to find a huge mirror covered in Taíno markings in his office. When she and Alejandro touch it, a portal bursts to life. And to make things worse, her abuelo pushes them both through it, thrusting them into a world of magic, monsters, and where the gods are as real as you and me. Speaking of gods, on Irene and Alejandro's arrival, she accidentally cuts her hand on a statue which awakens an ancient Cacica, a warmongering chieftain whose magic was so powerful she had to be sealed away in stone. Now the gods have tasked them with the responsibility of finding and destroying the Cacica's amulet, the item that allows her to summon and control hupías, bad spirits which wreak havoc on the living. Sounds easy, right? Irene and Alejandro hoped so. Otherwise, the Cacica's first order of business would be sacrificing them to restore their abuelo to his prime so he can stand at her side and conquer everything in their path.

A short story that weaves a narrative of a courageous Taino young woman and what happens to her and her people at Columbus' arrival. Her name is Yuiza and this is how I imagined her story went.
