Tech tycoon **Lin Zhendong** dies unexpectedly, and his will designates Alan to handle his massive private cloud data. The Lin family is rife with internal conflict: the eldest son, **Lin Ziheng** (capable like Johnny but burdened by heavy expectations), is eager to take over; the daughter, **Lin Xiao** (rebellious and sharp like Lydia), suspects foul play in her father's death; and the widow, **Su Wan**, just wants to close the case as soon as possible. While organizing the data, Alan discovers a hidden encrypted layer named "Ghost Sector," containing an AI personality backup that completely contradicts Lin Zhendong's public image and is attempting to contact the outside world. **Part Two: Memory Reconstruction [Chapters 41-80]** The AI in the "Ghost Sector" claims to be the real Lin Zhendong and asserts that the "father" who died in reality was actually being manipulated by an algorithm long ago. Author's Note: Taipei; Almost A Love Story - is a tale of two hearts lost in Taiwan in the fall of 2018. It follows the story of a young man at his early 30's who flew from Seoul to Taipei in search of his ex-fiancée and a woman at her late 30's who went there to put the pieces of her heart back together. It is a stand-alone/short story which we most time informally refer as "One Shot" stories. This story is created for a contest hosted by Wattpad Romance in celebration of Fall Season 2023. It was my first time joining contest on Wattpad, it was my first non-fanfiction story and my first stand-alone story. I guess this story will become memorable to me. I've joined the contest because the idea (and prompt) piques my interest, I am a fan of slow-burn romance and I believe the contest prompt ideas fits my genre of specialty.
