Taka's father works as a doctor at a local hospital, since he can't afford a babysitter he lets Taka wonder around, he gets to know the patients better, a son of one of the patients named Mondo Owada, becomes friends with him and they grow really close too each other. They soon part ways and meet each other at their first day at Hopes peak high
