Katie had a good life. She had a mother and father, and especially a twin brother. Although she loved her parents, she had always had this inseparable bond with her brother. They were like Yin and Yang. They complimented each other. He was someone she always wanted to be best friends with. So, for the first eight years of her life, it was nothing but happiness, or at least of what she can remember. That is until he came. Takashi Shirogane. He became best friends with Katie's twin brother, and at first she didn't care, but when Matt started to spend some more time with Takashi, she realized she had to share her brother. Sadly, Katie was too keen on sharing her brother. She had to get him back. **Slight AU where Katie (Pidge) and Matt are twins. Also, I know it says book two, but if you don't/haven't read the first book, "Like a Grape" you will be fine. You just won't understand the ??? chapters completely.**

Adoptive daughter to Takashi Shirogane, best friends with Keith Kogane, close friends with Pidge Gunderson, acquainted with Lance McClain and Hunk Garrett, none but Keith knows anything about her past, her interests, or her in general. But maybe, just maybe, she'll open up soon. I don't own Voltron or any of it's characters, only the changes to the story I make and my characters.

High school is already bad enough without an overconfident not-friend hellbent on annoying you, a girl who hacks school systems in her free time, and a boy who gets panic attacks over grizzly bears. Keith was simply trying to endure another boring-to-death year at Garrison High, but when he and Pidge Holt discover a connection between her missing brother and his scarred, bronze-bionic-armed brother-through one mysterious summer camp-everything spirals out of control. Their teacher turns into a monster and attacks them, Keith somehow teleports them from Texas to New York in seconds, and they all discover that they're not quite human. Now, they have to venture to Alaska-the single most dangerous place for people like them-to rescue Pidge's brother from an omnipresent being and a psychotic witch. At least they have the power of teamwork... right?

Things between Keith and Lance start to change, they develop a stronger friendship then they have with Hunk and Katie. This AU will go through the Paladins growing up. The younger paladins, after getting back together, discuss human-alien hybrids. Disclaimer - I don't own Voltron. There are quite a few theories floating around regarding Keith having alien DNA, but one of the theories doesn't really pan out. Note - One of the theories I've come across is that Keith, as a Galra-human hybrid would have purple skin, but also have the ability to camouflage the fact he has purple skin. However, the camouflage ability is an Altean ability, not Galra. Keeping this secret wouldn't have been easy, particularly back on Earth, but when Pidge revealed herself to actually be a girl, that would have been a good point for Keith to reveal he was Galra-human and had purple skin, as they as a team was supposed, to be honest with each other. It makes more sense if Keith is part Altean or Galra that he doesn't know. Thus no purple skin, or other oddities.
